Karyn Bailey (soon to be Karyn Howarth, born 28 July 1986) is an Australian netball player in the ANZ Championship, and is to play for the Melbourne Vixens in the 2012 ANZ season.[1]. She is also a part of the Victorian Fury side, playing in the Australian Netball League 2009-2011 including premiership teams in 2009 and 2010.[2] She had also played in the Commonwealth Bank Trophy for the Queensland Firebirds in 2005, the AIS Canberra Darters in 2006 and the Hunter Jaegers in 2007, as well as having been a member of the Northern Territory state netball team.
Bailey has been one of the dominant goal scorers in the Victorian Netball League and is a member of the 2012 Victorian Netball League Championship All Stars Team.
Bailey was named the Australian Netball League Player of the Year at the Netball Australia awards on Saturday 19 November 2011. At the Netball Victoria awards on 12 November, Bailey was named the Victorian Fury Most Valuable Player.[3] She has had knee surgery prior to the 2012 season but is expected to resume full training in January [4]
Bailey is to marry in 2012 and will be Karyn Howarth by the time the 2012 ANZ Season commences in April [5]
